International Esperanza Project (IEP) Youth Board

Kimberly Wang

Hola todos! My name is Kimberly Wang, and I am the Founder and Co-President of the International Esperanza Project’s (a non-profit) Youth Board. Our mission is to encourage other youths to join our initiative in promoting equality in education, specifically in STEM, in the El Molino area of Guatemala. By creating educational content, creating pen pal and tutor relationships, and raising funds to reinvest in educating the students there, we are taking pivotal steps towards aiding young Guatemalans to break their cycle of poverty and have hope for a better future. If you are a STEM tutor, a possible pen pal, someone who enjoys service work, experienced with spanish, or anyone who is willing to put some time to interact with the students, you are very welcome to join. We encourage as many students with as much diversity as possible to join the effort, where we can hopefully expand to assisting other organizations promote equality in education as well!

Although the Youth Board does not yet have a website currently up and running yet, you can learn more about the IEP non-profit organization at https://internationalesperanzaproject.org/ or their instagram/facebook page @internationalesperanzaproject. Join our google classroom with the provided code :)
